World Children’s Day and Pediatrician’s Day

November 20, in most countries of the world, at the initiative of the UN General Assembly, is World Children’s Day and Pediatrician’s Day. This date was chosen not by chance – it was on November 20, 1959 that the Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. In 1989, also on November 20, the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted. The goal of World Children’s Day and Pediatrician’s Day is to draw the attention of the general public to the health and well-being of children around the world. Pediatricians play a special role in maintaining children’s health. Specialists in this field take care of the baby’s health from the first moment of life. A pediatrician advises parents on how to raise their baby as healthy as possible and monitors the child’s health until he or she reaches adulthood. Congratulations to all children, grow up healthy! Congratulations to all pediatricians on their professional holiday! Thank you for your work!
